Situated at 15 Huangpu Road, Pujiang Hotel is the first high-grade hotel after Shanghai was opened as a trade port to the foreign countries. Built in 1860, it was reconstructed in 1910 following the style of late renaissance and formerly known as the Astor House. Ionic pillars are installed on the third and the fourth floors and huge arches protect the windows of the fifth floor of the five-storey building.
