Located at 23 Bund (23 No.1 East Zhongshan Road), Bank of China, Shanghai Branch was set up in 1937 and formerly was the site of the Bank of China. It is one of the distinct high modern buildings on the Bund in Shanghai under traditional Chinese style. The steep roof is square-shaped and coved with glazed green tiles. The window frames on the east front of the building are hollowed-out and approached in the shape of ancient coins.
