Situated at 16 Bund (16 No.1 East Zhongshan Road), The building reconstructed in 1924 is a Japanese construction of modern western approach with a site area of 969m2 and a floor area of 4,008m2. It was originally hosted by the Taiwan Bank that was actually a Japanese bank at that time and now it is the site of Shanghai Arts and Crafts Import & Export Corporation and China Merchants Bank.
