Chinese Style Refreshments--Fried Dates Paste-Filled Round Cakes
Ingredients: flour, black dates, sugar, oil, done lard
Clean the black dates. Braise them till well done. Peel and pit the dates and mince them into a paste. Put boiling water in the pan. Melt down the sugar first and saut¨¦ the dates paste to make a filling.
Make dough and a shortening with the flour. Roll out the dough and make flat cakes. Add the date paste filling in the cakes to make round cakes. Cover the face with yolk paste and coat it with black sesame. Surface the other sides with egg white paste and coat with white sesame. Fry the round cakes in warm oil till they float to the surface. Remove and serve.
